Mount Grona, Lake Como

Sourcing & Quality

Every bottle of Chiarella begins as rain and snow on Mount Grona, filtered for decades through ancient dolomitic rock before it reaches the spring above Plesio. This is where its purity, balance, and character are decided — long before it is ever bottled.

One spring, one story

The source

From the rock of Mount Grona

The Chiarella spring flows directly from the dolomitic rocks of Mount Grona, above Plesio, in the heart of Lake Como’s mountains. The water travels slowly through layers of ancient stone, emerging naturally filtered, protected from the surface, and remarkably consistent in composition from one season to the next.

The composition

Nothing added, nothing removed

This origin gives Chiarella a natural composition with some of the lowest sodium levels in Europe, a perfectly neutral pH, and a harmonious balance of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. It is bottled at the source directly into glass, exactly as it emerges from the mountain.

The proof

Tested, certified, verified

As a certified natural mineral water, Chiarella is analysed continuously at the source and by independent laboratories. Every batch is tested against the strictest European standards for mineral water, and the full analyses are available for anyone who wants to read them — the complete library of reports is below.

Mineral composition

The analysis

  • Calcium — 42.5 mg/L

A gentle natural calcium level that supports everyday hydration and gives the water its refined character.

  • Magnesium — 27 mg/L

Naturally enriched with magnesium as the water filters through the dolomitic rock.

  • Potassium — 0.28 mg/L

A trace of potassium completes the water’s harmonious mineral balance.

  • Among Europe’s lowest sodium

One of the lowest sodium contents in Europe keeps the taste remarkably clean and crisp.

  • A neutral 7.5 pH

A perfectly neutral pH makes it gentle on the body and easy to drink daily.
